The Hague Conference on Responsible AI

‘The Hague Conference on Responsible AI’ is an annual conference with focus on Peace, Law and Security in an international perspective. The conference for (international) experts from science, business, civil society and government. The conference contributes to setting the agenda for the future of responsible and humane AI.

This year the conference will be at 12 and 13 May 2022 in the Peace Palace in The Hague. The Netherlands and the city of The Hague envisions itself as the location where an open and in-depth dialogue on responsible AI in the field of peace, justice and security can take place by facilitating international cooperation and knowledge exchange between various disciplines in those areas where action is still required.

Main goal of the conference

The main goal of the conference is to establish a multi-stakeholder group of front-runners. This group will set the agenda for urgent topics with a call to action in policy, research and practice. A rolling agenda with questions on principles, frameworks, regulation, supervision and applications in the field of responsible AI, by exchanging state of the art policies, research and practices.

Programme

A pre-conference/walking dinner with various round table discussions is scheduled on 12 May 2022 in the Peace Palace in The Hague. Building blocks

The NL AIC collaborates on the necessary common knowledge and expertise, resulting in five themes, also called building blocks. Those are important for a robust impact in economic and social sectors.

AI is a generic technology that is ultimately applicable in all sectors. For the development of knowledge and experience in the use of AI in the Netherlands, it is essential to focus on specific industries that are relevant to our country. These industries can achieve excellent results, and knowledge and experience that can be leveraged for application in other sectors.

    Become a participant

    The Netherlands AI Coalition is convinced that active collaboration with a wide range of stakeholders is essential to stimulate and connect initiatives in Artificial Intelligence. Within fields of expertise and with other stakeholders in the ecosystem to achieve the most significant result possible in the development and application of AI in the Netherlands. Representatives from the business community (large, small, start-up), government, research and educational institutions and civil society organisations can participate.
