The NL AIC is launching the free online AI course for Logistics and Maritime

The NL AIC is launching the artificial intelligence (AI) awareness course for Logistics and Maritime in cooperation with Topsector Logistiek, a cooperation between companies, science and government within the logistics sector. The free online course discusses AI applications in the logistics and maritime world in just 4 hours. Students learn – at their own pace – what the opportunities and challenges of artificial intelligence are and how they can get started using it in their own organisations.

Systems around us that are increasingly intelligent and more able to assist mean that working in logistics and the ports will be different in the future. AI systems will take over some tasks from humans but will also create new tasks for humans. How can smart algorithms help solve logistical puzzles? What will logistics chains look like in the future? Will we really have autonomous vessels sailing around? You can learn about all these subjects in the AI course for Logistics and Maritime. In this course, we explore the opportunities and challenges of AI in the logistics and maritime domains using inspiring practical examples. This is how AI can help develop a logistics system that is competitive, sustainable and safe. It will let AI provide solutions for the logistical and maritime challenges of the future.

AI for Logistics and Maritime

AI for Logistics and Maritime is a free online course that takes professionals in the logistics and maritime domains along through the development of AI in their daily practice. In eleven tracks, basic aspects such as algorithms, AI, machine learning and federative learning are explained by experts from the field, using inspirational video use cases. The course teaches you what AI is and what it is not, for instance, or what AI applications are already being used in the logistics and maritime domains, and how you can get started with AI. It highlights how algorithms and AI can reduce unloaded kilometres, what the role of autonomous tools will be, and how you can measure the results of AI in your professional field. In the course, you also learn about the future distribution of tasks between AI systems and professionals for the work in the logistics and maritime domains. Critical preconditions for the use and design of AI are also discussed. The online AI course for Logistics and Maritime is free and can be followed at your own pace. You receive a certificate when you finish the course.
