Koninklijk Nederlands Lucht- en Ruimtevaartcentrum

Organisation profile

Royal NLR makes aerospace more sustainable, safer, more efficient and more effective. The innovative solutions and practical advice strengthen the competitiveness of the business community and contribute to solutions for social issues. NLR works in an objective manner, for and with the (inter) national business community and government agencies.
We expect that AI technology will be increasingly used in aerospace, specifically in modelling, automation and digitization.

Contribution to the NL AIC

NLR is the linchpin between science, business and government at home and abroad, bridging the gap between fundamental research and practical applications. NLR also wants to take on this role in the AI field by actively participating in the Dutch AI Coalition.

Why NL AIC?

NLR contributes to a safe and sustainable society. NLR, together with the AI Coalition, wants to stimulate and support Dutch activities in AI, and in doing so, in its role as Large Technological Institute (GTI), especially in the aerospace field, wants to apply new AI knowledge in relevant civil and defense applications.

Sectors

AI is a generic technology that is ultimately applicable in all sectors. For the development of knowledge and experience in the use of AI in the Netherlands, it is essential to focus on specific industries that are relevant to our country. These industries can achieve excellent results, and knowledge and experience that can be leveraged for application in other sectors.

Become a participant

The Netherlands AI Coalition is convinced that active collaboration with a wide range of stakeholders is essential to stimulate and connect initiatives in Artificial Intelligence. Within fields of expertise and with other stakeholders in the ecosystem to achieve the most significant result possible in the development and application of AI in the Netherlands.
